Hello! I'm Anna Malinowska-Ek, a Finland-based illustrator specializing in children's books, character-driven storytelling, book covers, and editorial illustration.

My work is colorful, expressive, and full of imagination. I combine bold shapes, rich colors, textured details, and expressive characters to create illustrations that feel warm, playful, and full of story. I especially enjoy creating characters and environments that make the viewer want to step into another world.

I'm particularly inspired by Nordic landscapes, folklore, history, mythology, and the natural world, which often find their way into my work. I love exploring both whimsical children's stories and more atmospheric historical and fantasy themes.

I work digitally and have experience developing illustrations in professional settings through illustration internships. Alongside my illustration work, I am developing my own children's book projects, including Leo the Little Viking, and enjoy creating illustrations that combine strong visual storytelling with a distinctive sense of place and character.
